On July 16, 2020, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) issued its long-awaited judgment in the far reaching Schrems II case which revamped the rules on global data privacy. This regulatory mandate layered on top of ongoing Brexit negotiations and a global pandemic has made the thorniest of business climates even more so.
